Our New Kindergarten

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of parents, donors, friends and patrons, we now have the best possible setting in which to encourage our youngest pupils to play, learn and grow together.

Whether they are learning in a bright, spacious classroom, building their confidence through performances in the octagonal assembly hall, working on their musical skills in the specifically designed music room, getting active in the colourful new gym or taking advantage of the excellent resources in the library, our Early Years pupils now have the very best facilities at their disposal, in a caring environment where they are happy and feel secure and valued.

Our Kindergarten children have settled into their new school with considerable ease and the opinion is unanimous that with our team of dedicated and experienced teachers, there could be no better surroundings in which to begin an educational journey.

Year 2 Girl
"I love the gym. I like climbing on the new climbing frame and jumping off the benches. I like playing on the rooftop playground with my friends and looking at the views and down at the field. I like assemblies in our lovely hall. I enjoy going on the computers and doing mathletics and golden time."

Year 2 Boy
"I like playing my violin in the music room and playing other instruments such as the xylophones. I like the gym and sliding on my tummy and climbing on the climbing frame. I like concerts in our Kindergarten hall and doing our assembly. We have done one recently about autumn and the little leaf. I like going to the library and choosing books. Our classroom is big and we have lots of room to work. We work hard but we have lots of fun."

Member of Staff
"Our new innovative kindergarten inspires the teachers with its interactive whiteboards, large rooftop playground, octagonal assembly hall and well resourced computer suite. The classrooms are large enabling the children to work independently and enhance their knowledge through play. We are now developing our outdoor facilities for reception now that we have settled into our new building. Nothing stands still, we are always looking for new ways to challenge and promote learning. "

The children, staff and Governors of the Bury Grammar Schools would like to thank all parents, friends, Patrons and donors, whose generous donations made possible the creation of the most exciting and the best school facility for young children in the North West.

"We love it!"
