Legacies & The Roger Kay Society
Since the re-foundation owing to the bequest of Roger Kay, The Bury Grammar Schools have been fortunate to benefit from legacies - gifts of all kinds, left by friends, parents and former pupils - each of which has helped to make the school what it is today.
Whether it is given as a mark of affection, an act of gratitude, a personal memorial or a desire to play a part in the continuing success of our schools, leaving a legacy is an act of generosity that will live on after you. We deeply appreciate this thoughtful consideration of investment in the future of the schools.

For more information please read A Legacy to BGS.
A gift in your Will is one of the most tax-effective ways of supporting BGS. Whether it is a specified sum of money, a particular asset or a proportion of the remainder of your estate, your gift will be free of UK Inheritance Tax.
With your help we can preserve our rich tradition of education and continue to achieve excellence and create opportunity in a fast-changing world. Pledging a gift to BGS will cost you nothing today, but will leave a lasting good for generations of pupils to come.
We should be most grateful if you would let us know your intentions by completing a Legacy Pledge Form. Your reply will be treated in the strictest confidence.
If you already have a Will and would like to make a bequest to BGS you should complete the Codicil Form and send it to your solicitor.
If you would like to discuss legacies further please contact Mrs Francine Healey, Director of Development, on 0161 764 1733 / francine@bgsdev.demon.co.uk.
The Roger Kay Society
Our way of saying "thank you". Should you choose to leave a legacy to Bury Grammar School, you will be welcomed as a member of The Roger Kay Society. Named after our early benefactor, this special group has been formed to acknowledge and thank our supporters during their lifetime.
At our annual lunch, members will have the opportunity to share their interest in the Schools with like-minded friends, meet the pupils and Headteachers and hear about our development and plans for the future.
We recognise that making such a decision is private and personal. Membership is discreet and of course anonymity will be respected if wished.
